Acosta has a history of being disruptive and refusing to allow the other reporters there the opportunity to ask questions. He is disrespectful not only to the White House, but to the other reporters that are patiently waiting to ask questions to the president as well.

Acosta strong arming the mic after he refused to hand it off combined with his history of disruptive behavior is certainly a justification for revoking his press pass.

The methodology in which is press pass was revoked isnt going to pass constitutional muster, at least not as far as DC precedent goes. Who know how the Supreme Court would rule if it made it that far, but I have my suspicions that CNN would not come out on top.

Regardless even if the DC precedent was adhered to all it would be is remanded for the proper avenues to be followed. In this case the White House notifies Acosta that his press pass is being revoked for xyz, Acosta will cry racism or some other nonsense, the White House will say noted, youre still revoked.

I believe opening a package designated for someone else is a felony.

Only if its intentional. A package sent to your address is unlikely to rise to that level unless there are some unusual factors that put the person on notice that this is obviously not for them. A simple address on the package probably wouldnt be sufficient.
